Eligibility
- Principal visa holder must hold a valid Work, Business, or Corporate Resident Visa.
- Dependants are limited to legal spouse and biological or legally adopted children under 18.
- Principal applicant must demonstrate sufficient income and accommodation to support dependants.
How to Apply
- 01Log in to the IMUGA portal with the principal visa holder's eFaas account.
- 02Select the Dependent Visa service from the dashboard.
- 03Add each dependant and complete their personal and travel details.
- 04Upload the supporting documents listed below for each dependant.
- 05Submit the application and pay the applicable fee per dependant.
- 06Collect the visa endorsement from Maldives Immigration upon approval.
Documents Required
- Passport biodata page of each dependant (minimum 6 months validity).
- Recent passport-size photograph for each dependant.
- Marriage certificate (for spouse) or birth certificate (for children), attested where applicable.
- Copy of the principal visa holder's passport and current visa.
- Proof of income or employment letter from the principal applicant.
Validity
- Dependent Visa validity matches the principal visa holder's visa expiry date.
- Renewal must be applied for in parallel with the principal visa renewal.
- Dependent Visa is automatically void if the principal visa is cancelled.
A Dependent Visa does not authorise employment in the Maldives. A separate Work Visa is required for any paid work.
