How to Apply
- 01Log in to the IMUGA portal using a valid eFaas account.
- 02Select the Resident Visa service and the appropriate category.
- 03Complete the application with personal, professional, and accommodation details.
- 04Upload supporting documents per the selected category.
- 05Submit the application and pay the processing fee.
- 06Receive the Resident Visa endorsement upon approval and verification.
Common Documents
- Passport biodata page (minimum 12 months validity).
- Recent passport-size photograph per Maldives Immigration photo standards.
- Police clearance certificate from the country of origin.
- Proof of income, retirement benefits, or letter of engagement.
- Proof of accommodation in the Maldives (lease agreement or property ownership).
- Medical fitness certificate from a recognised medical institution.
Validity & Renewal
- Issued for one (1) to five (5) years depending on category and supporting documents.
- Renewable upon submission of an updated application and supporting documents.
- Resident Visa holders must notify Maldives Immigration of any change in address or status.
Resident Visa holders are not permitted to engage in paid employment outside the scope approved at the time of issuance.
